Elections 2015

The Pakistan Mathematical Society was founded in June 2001. Every second year, elections for the ten members of the Executive Council take place in the Annual General Meeting. So far, six elections have been held and the seventh elections are due. As is the practice, a committee to conduct elections has been formed. It comprises the following persons:

At the Executive Council’s 63rd meeting held on 21st March 2015, it was decided that the elections will take place on 14th May 2015 in the Banquette Hall, Islamabad Club, Islamabad.

 

In concurrence to the injunctions of the constitution of the Society, the election programme and date was announced 21 days prior to the election date. The letters to this effect have already been sent to all the members of the society. As a second reminder, the same letter has been sent to members who have e-mail addresses.

 

Those who have paid the membership fee up to the year 2014 will be eligible for participating in the elections and those who have not paid their dues as yet will become eligible to take part in the elections if they pay their dues before or on the Election Day.

 

Nominations for one of the ten posts must reach by registered mail to Mr Nazim ud Din by 13th May 2015 on the prescribed Nomination Forms which can be printed from the PakMS website www.pakms.org.pk. Forms received after 13th May 2015 will not be accepted.
